This problem doesn\u2019t however affect the entire field uniformly. In some cases, it may be a good idea to forgo using fertilizer on the weakest parts of the field, without neglecting the nutritional needs of the rest of the crop. SatAgro Variable Rate Application maps make achieving this easy.<\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how you can plan your fertilizing in SatAgro to exclude the worst looking parts of your field:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> In the \u201cExplorer\u201d tab, choose a satellite image that best shows the variability of your field.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-1751\" src=\"https:\/\/satagro.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/poczatek.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"575\" height=\"448\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> Click the \u201cCreate precision treatment\u201d button \u2013 the app will take you to the VRA map creator, where you will be asked to enter a couple of parameters, including the \u201cMax number of zones\u201d parameter. A more detailed description can be found in the Help article about \u201cApplication maps\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> Choose the \u201cDirectly proportional\u201d scaling strategy \u2013 areas with lower Vegetation index values will receive less fertilizer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. <\/strong> Specify minimum and maximum fertilizer doses \u2013 if you don\u2019t want to use fertilizer at all on some parts of the field, set a minimum value of zero.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-1762\" src=\"https:\/\/satagro.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/dawki.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"577\" height=\"449\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>5. <\/strong> Now for the key parameter \u2013 Minimum of vegetation, at the bottom right of the \u201cDose scaling\u201d section. This value regulates which parts of the field end up in the lowest dose zone. Change the default value to adjust how much of the field doesn\u2019t receive fertilizer.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-1773\" src=\"https:\/\/satagro.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/minNDVI.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>6. <\/strong> When you\u2019re done, click the \u201cCreate\u201d button. You will be shown how the app divided the field. If you want to adjust the zones, click on the \u201cEdit\u201d button and you will be able to change the parameters discussed in the previous steps.
